I'm going to tell you...

His name's Lasse Gjertsen. Was told he doesn't know how to play the drums nor the piano (it even says so at the end of the video). He makes his music by editing video. As in, basic timeline editing. He reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite's Jon Heder.

Any of you use Gizmo and its LJ integration? Just want to know if this is more viable than Skype.

Oh, and I have been having donut cravings since Saturday.

[ |Fighting Over Me - Paris Hilton]

In a rare moment of in-ear peace, I decided to have the public air serenade my train ride home. So it seems the MRT has bought into this in-set radio station trend from last year. Nice. You get to listen to MRT-selected tunes, most of which are from FM stations anyway, plus a few advertisements here and there. But, what amazed me more was just how well we can communicate as a people with several dialects and languages and off-hand variations of such amidst the muzak and hustling going on. On the line to the bag inspection, behind me three Ilonggo women talked about their friend's boyfriend whom they suspect to be gay. The man to my right calls the attention of the white man in front of him because his bag was somewhat open. He spoke the most confident English I heard since Manny Pacquaio's in-ring interview. In front of me, a bunch of students attempted to flurry their way into a breach in the line to our left, as it appears to move faster. Abnormally faster. All around else were conversations in stiff Filipino, laughter, and several variants of gay speak. Inside the train was the whirring and hissing of an eager set of air-conditioning taking place. Just my luck, the conversation of the three Ilonggo women behind me earlier carried on. As the train dragged along EDSA, standing four people away from me, was probably the loudest speaker on board. He was probably the know-it-all in his group. Their topic for the ride, movies. Just as I was about to focus my attention to other passengers around me, the next few lines took place:

"May isa pang lalabas. Knight Rider." loud boy says proudly.

"Gusto ko panoorin 'yun!" agreed his friend.

"Maganda 'yun. Galing sa Marvel eh. Basta comics, maganda."

"Oo naman. Nabasa ko 'yun dati. Binenta niya 'yung kaluluwa niya sa demonyo, tapos naka-motor siya." His conviction wasn't in any way dwindling.

I really tried hard not to laugh, but images of David Hasselhoff with burning blond hair flooded my mind. I didn't even go to the bit of a talking motorcycle. Here I was thinking of writing a heartfelt, three-tears reflection for an open-ear train ride. Life.
